76 Scout II questions tachometer?
here's the deal, I have my Scout working on it, but the custom property of the speedometer reading, I changed the cable counter and the actual speed when I drive the car moves, but the needle moves forward back to say i drive 10 miles per hour, was returning from 5 to 15 mph what could it be? Help? fuel gauge now used to read so much? too? temperature thanks for any help
Let me guess, that cable has been replaced with a used one, have you not? (Of course you did, where the hell you are getting a new speedo cable for a '76 Scout?) Salt and spray some liquid wrench and WD-40 to the inside of the cable jacket while hanging on something for a few days before it breaks. Or your ex if ever, and he did the same, replace them. In terms of indicators, should have beaten something in bulk, or you're bad news. If so, go back.
